Introduction to the Content Builder

The Content Builder allows you to quickly create new pages or add additional content to existing pages using an intuitive drag-and-drop editor.

What is the Content Builder?

Simply put, Brikl's Content Builder is a page builder that allows you to create new pages or add extra content to existing pages in a storefront or MicroStore.

The most significant advantage of the Content Builder is that it is a no-coding tool—instead of coding the different elements of a page, you can simply drag and drop elements onto a canvas. It's easy and intuitive.

The Content Builder

You can use the Content Builder to:

  • Build a storefront homepage that acts as a landing page through which users can access multiple MicroStores or other storefront pages like About or Contact.
  • Add additional content to MicroStore pages, including the home, product, product package, and collection pages.
  • Add additional content to the cart and checkout pages.

The content types

By using the Content Builder, you can create the following types of content:

  • In a storefront, you can create a home page and content pages.
  • In MicroStores, you can add additional content, such as text or graphic components, to the home page, product page, cart page, or checkout page.
  • In the cart and checkout pages, you can add text or graphic components at the bottom of the page.

Homepage and Content pages (storefront)

The Content Builder allows you to create and publish new types of pages in your storefront. Think of traditional website pages like Home, About, Contact, or even a blog.

Examples of content pages: home, about, blog, and contact.

Homepage and Product pages (MicroStores)

Brikl automatically generates MicroStore pages such as the home, product, package, and collection pages for you based on the configurations you make in the dashboard (Catalog > Products or Collections).

You can use the Content Builder to add additional content to the home, product, package, or collection page.

A typical Content Builder use case is when you create a template store. Whether you set up 1, 10, or 100 stores, you will probably rely on a single template when duplicating stores—and you can easily edit this single template using the Content Builder.

⚠️ The Content Builder cannot be used to add product or collection components to a MicroStore homepage. To learn how to add products and collections to a MicroStore, please refer to How do I assign products to a MicroStore? and How to assign a collection to MicroStore.

Cart and checkout pages (storefront and MicroStores)

The layout and styling of the cart and checkout pages cannot be customized, but you can add text or graphic elements below the main content of these pages.

This can provide extra information to your customers, such as current discounts and shipping details.
