      Uploading product images

An important thing to note before we get started is that you need to create a product before uploading product images.

Once this is complete,  a product image can be assigned to it by following the steps below:

      Step 1

Navigate to the image tab from your dashboard > Catalog > Products > Select a product > Images tab.

      Step 2

As seen above, you can upload an image by clicking the upload button or dragging and dropping one or multiple images in for a product.

      Step 3

You can edit the image by:

      • Cropping: Crop your image using custom dimensions, in square and circle shapes, or in 16:9 and 4:3 ratios.
      • Inverting: Flip a color to the opposite color e.g., white turns into black.
      • Removing the background: The platform can detect the foreground subject of the image, and erases the background.

      Images formats

The maximum image size is 4472 x 4472 pixels with a maximum file size up to 20 MB. Brikl supports the following image formats:

      • png
      • jpg or jpeg
      • gltf (standard file format for three-dimensional scenes and models)

Use 2048 x 2048 pixels for square product photos. This will ensure that your product displays well on mobile and desktop in high resolution. This also ensures that the pixel count is high enough to maintain its aesthetic when zooming in (which will show once the images are at least 800 x 800 pixels).

      How to manage product images

Once successfully uploaded, images will be displayed like the picture in the screenshot below. Selecting these uploaded images to showcase on your homepage and collection pages as well as product pages.

Setting format A: If you do not turn both toggles on (shown in collection and set as default), the first image will be shown as your default.

Setting format B: You can select the product image to show in the homepage and collection page by turning on the "set as default" toggle.

      Setting a default image

If an image is set as default (toggled on), it will affect both the product page and product card.

      Matching images with variants (color)

As seen below, matching image with variants will enable customers to see what each variant of a product will look like.
