How Brikl defines custom and stock products

The difference between custom and stock items can be a head-scratcher.

You may hear Brikl experts talk about stock and custom products across the platform. Or read articles in our Knowledge Base that references one and not the other.

The definition for stock items is different to stock or in-stock items that are ordinarily on the shelf and ready to be shipped.

A custom product is a product with design files compatible across Brikl’s platform - read more about how to create 2D design files here and 3D design files here. These products are customizable in the Design Studio by your customers.

A stock product, on the other hand, is a standard item that’s non-customisable in the Design Studio. It can be an on the shelf product or a made-to-order product.
