A domain is the URL or web address where your customers find your site. By default, your primary domain name is the built-in BRIKL domain: yourdomain.briklshop.com. You can replace the primary domain with a custom domain.
Important: you must first buy a custom domain from a third-party provider or a so-called “domain name registrar” (like NameCheap, GoDaddy, AWS, Combell or by simply googling “Domain name registrar”).
If you purchased a custom domain from a third-party provider, you can connect it with BRIKL. Connecting keeps your domain with your current provider while pointing it to your BRIKL site.
In order to complete the connection, you need to change a few settings in your registrar’s account. In a new browser tab or window, log into your domain account, and find where you manage your DNS settings. Depending on your provider, this may be called Zone File Settings, Manage Domains, Domain Manager, DNS Manager, or something similar.
In your provider's DNS settings, create a CNAME with these values:
Once connected it may take a few minutes and up to 24 hours.
